  2. Watch the lights. The glasses vibrate twice. All three charging lights flash on, then one stays lit.
  3. Charged. When that light goes out, it's charged. You can record while plugged in.

Record

Press the button once. The glasses vibrate three times and start recording. The red light flashes the whole time.

Set 2K

Your Vista arrives set to 1080p. For full 2K:

  1. Open config.txt. Plug the glasses into your computer and open config.txt on the glasses' drive.
  2. Set Videosize. Change the Videosize value from 1080P30 to 1440P30.

I set 2K but it still records 1080p Most asked

The change didn't apply. Open config.txt and check the first line, Update Configuration, says Y, and that Videosize reads 1440P30 with the spacing untouched. Save, eject, unplug, then turn the glasses on.

The glasses stopped recording on their own
  1. The memory may be full. Copy your files off, delete them from the glasses, and empty the Trash or Recycle Bin while the glasses are still plugged in.
  2. The battery may be flat. Charge it.

When the battery runs out mid-recording, the glasses save the clip, give one long vibration and turn off.

My computer doesn't see the glasses Most asked
  1. Press the reset pinhole, between the button and the USB-C port, with a fine tip or paperclip. No files are deleted.
  2. Try another USB-C cable; some only charge.
  3. Try another USB port.

When it connects, all three charging lights stay on.

The red light stays solid for a minute, then it turns off

The memory needs reformatting. Copy off anything you want to keep, then in config.txt set Format to Y and Update Configuration to Y. Save, eject, unplug and turn the glasses on.

How do I get videos onto my computer?
  1. Plug the Vista into a Mac or Windows computer with the USB-C cable. It opens like a USB drive.
  2. Open DCIM, then Movie or Photo.
  3. Drag your files across. Eject before you unplug.
My videos won't play

The Vista records MP4 in H.265, which some computers can't open on their own. Install the free VLC player for Mac or Windows.

What does stabilization do?

It smooths the shake from walking, running and turning your head, so footage is easy to watch instead of jittery. It's electronic, built in, and on by default. It evens out motion; it can't fix footage that's dark or out of frame.

Does it have an app or a card slot?

No to both. The Vista has built-in memory and no WiFi or app. Settings live in config.txt, and files move over USB-C.

Battery & charging

2
The glasses turn off while recording

Almost always a low battery or full memory. Charge the glasses and free up space.

Can I record while charging?

Yes. Plug in a USB-C power bank or charger and keep recording. Battery: Rated for about 60 minutes.

Buttons & lights

2
I took a photo and the recording stopped Most asked

That's how the Vista works: a click while recording takes a photo and stops the video. Double-click to start recording again. Take photos in standby to keep a recording running.

Can people see that I'm recording?

The Vista's lights face you, not outward, so there's no recording light on the front. Be open about filming, and know your local rules on recording people.

Hardware

2
Something else isn't right
  1. Press the reset pinhole with a fine tip. No files are deleted.
  2. Still odd? Back up and reformat the memory (config.txt, Format = Y).
  3. Still not right? Contact us.
How do I change the lenses?

Two pairs come in the box: dark tinted and clear. To remove one, push gently from the top corners until it clicks free. To fit one, set its edge into a top corner of the frame groove, then press around the edge until it snaps in. Take your time the first go.
