Fit and use guide

Three camera glasses, each built for a different kind of footage. Here's what each one films best and how it fits.

Compare all three side by side

DenaliPreorder

The all-rounder, and the one for hands-on how-tos

Good for

A great all-around camera for every kind of recording. But if you want close-up videos with your hands in them, like tutorials, how-tos, cooking or crafts, Denali is definitely the one to get. Its wide angle and a lens that tilts 10° down keep your hands in the shot.

Field of view

135°, the widest of the three. Wider than a phone's standard camera, so most of what you see makes it into the footage.

Vibration alertsYou feel a buzz when it turns on or off and when recording starts or stops.

Size and fit

Most head sizes. Built for larger and smaller heads. The most flexible frame of the three.

Look

Can look a little large on smaller faces.

VistaNew

Action with bumps and jolts

Good for

Electronic image stabilization (EIS) smooths out the shake. Choose Vista for mountain biking, running, jogging and bumpy rides, where steady footage matters most. Not the pick for hands-on close-ups: the lens doesn't point down, so your hands usually stay out of the shot.

Field of view

About 65°. A focused, natural view that keeps the action centered, a little narrower than an iPhone's standard camera.

Vibration alertsYou feel a buzz when it turns on or off and when recording starts or stops.

Size and fit

Small to medium heads, snug fit. The snuggest fit of the three. Not for larger heads.

Look

Looks good on smaller faces.

Glide

Entry level, the most natural look

Good for

A good all-around starter pair. The slimmest, lightest and most comfortable for all-day wear, and it looks like normal sunglasses. It records 1080p, not 2K like Denali and Vista.

Field of view

90°. Wider than an iPhone's standard camera, and a little wider than Vista.

No vibrationCheck the recording light to see what it's doing.

Size and fit

Small and medium faces. Roomier than Vista. Fits small and medium faces, and some larger ones.

Look

The most natural look of the three.

      Good to know.

      What does image stabilization do?

Walking, running and turning your head all shake a camera you wear on your face. The Vista's electronic image stabilization smooths that motion out as you record, so your footage is comfortable to watch. There is nothing to edit afterwards.

How wide is the Vista's view?

About 65°: a focused, natural view that keeps the action in the center of the frame, a little narrower than an iPhone's standard camera. It suits riding, running and point-of-view action. For close-up videos with your hands in them, like tutorials, cooking or crafts, choose Denali: its 135° lens tilts down to keep your hands in the shot.

      Can I turn stabilization off?

Yes. Stabilization is on by default, and you can switch it off in the settings file on the glasses. The manual shows how.

How long does the battery last?

About 60 minutes of recording on the built-in battery. Plug in a USB-C power bank and the Vista keeps recording while it charges.

      How much video fits?

The Vista has 64GB built in, enough for about 9 hours of 2K video. There is no card slot and nothing extra to buy.

Do I need an app or WiFi?

No. There is nothing to pair. Plug the included USB-C cable into a Mac or Windows computer and the glasses open like a drive. For phones, the OTG adapter in the box plugs into your phone's USB-C port.

      Does it take photos?

Yes. Click the button once for a photo. If you are recording, the photo is taken and recording stops; double-click to start recording again.

How do I know it is recording?

You feel it. The Vista buzzes twice when recording starts and once when it stops, and the light inside the frame flashes red while it records.

      What lenses are included?

Dark tinted UV400 lenses come installed, and a clear pair is included in the box for indoors and low light.
